St John the Baptist now to hold service on Sunday 12 July

Due to high winds on 5 July, some in excess of 50 mph, caused the planned resumption of services at St John;s to be postponed. It was decided that the winds, linked to the scaffolding currently in place around the Church made it too dangerous to proceed. The first resumed service will now take place next Sunday 12 July at 9.00 am.
Social distancing will be in operation and a hand sanitiser will be available. The Priest will be taking the communion on behalf of the congregation. "It will be wonderful for us to be together in St John's for our first Sunday worship since March" says Sue Short, Churchwarden.
The Church is now, of course, also open daily for private prayer.
